Welcome to St Ninian's Primary School Website
I am delighted to welcome you to our St Ninian’s RC Primary School website. I am currently the Acting Head Teacher of this wonderful school, and it is a privilege to be looking after St Ninian’s whilst Mrs MacPhail helps out elsewhere.
St Ninian’s really is a special place; full of warmth and nurture and we place the Gospel values of love and respect at the forefront of all we do. We have a strong family and community spirit that makes our school such a loving, welcoming and happy environment for each and every child who walks through the doors and we are very proud of our many accolades, including achieving our Gold Rights Respecting Schools Award. This affirmed for us how committed we are to creating a school where every child feels heard, valued and respected. Pupil voice plays an integral role, and our children help to shape decisions, influence change and contribute to making their school the very best it can be.
I am fortunate to lead such an exceptional staff team of dedicated professionals, who work tirelessly to ensure every child receives the best possible learning experiences and has every opportunity to reach their full potential. Our staff create rich, meaningful, and inspiring learning experiences, supporting our children to develop the skills they need for learning, life and work, both now and in their future.
Partnerships and relationships sit at the heart of all we do and we place real value on our partnerships with families, partner agencies and the wider community. We know that when we all work together, we can get it right for every child and achieve the best outcomes for our young people. Our youngest pupils summed up what this strong sense of togetherness means for us, when they said – “St Ninian’s is one big happy family” and that is something we are very proud of!
This website will give you a little look into life at St Ninian’s and we hope that one day we will have the pleasure of welcoming you through the doors to experience it for yourself.
Kind regards
Laura Lowden
